10365854023991|Achillea millefolium|Yarrow|
A finely textured yarrow forming low, spreading clumps of aromatic, divided foliage. Flat-topped flower heads appear through much of summer, typically in soft whites or pale blush tones. Plants thrive in full sun and freely draining soils, tolerating lean, sandy, or disturbed ground where they hold their shape well.
The species is a fast grower and can spread steadily in open sites, making it useful for meadows, green roofs, and restoration work. A light shear after the first flush encourages further flowering. Highly attractive to bees, hoverflies, and other beneficial insects, and resilient to drought and foot traffic once established.
