A hybrid oregano with hop-like bells drooping from wiry stem tips. Tiny lilac-blue flowers peek from between pink-blushed scales creating a festive quality. The flowers work well in small arrangements, both fresh and dried. The blue-cast green foliage is mildly scented.

Superior drainage is essential for survival in wet coastal climates. Perfect tucked into sunny walls, rockeries, or summer patio containers. Resulted from crossing O. rotundifolium with O. scabrum. RHS Award of Garden Merit. The unique hop-like flowers distinguish it from other oreganos.

An ornamental oregano with dense clusters of flowers from midsummer into fall. The blossoms are held in compact arrangements on wiry stems above aromatic foliage. Plants form neat mounds that work well in borders and rock gardens.

Requires well-draining soil and full sun for best performance. The extended flowering period and aromatic foliage make it valuable for sunny, well-drained positions. Deer-resistant like other oreganos. Combines well with Russian sage, persicarias, sedges, and calaminthas. The long blooming season provides continuous interest.

Technically an annual but reliably returns through self-seeding in appropriate conditions. Flat white umbels feature small inner flowers with enlarged ray flowers along outer edges creating a sublimely lacy effect. Often germinates in fall, overwintering with finely textured foliage rosettes.

Requires full sun and hot, dry summer conditions for best performance. Once established with fresh seed in suitable location, returns reliably each year. Seedlings appear in unexpected places but are always welcome. Excellent cut flower. Native to Mediterranean Europe. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
