Potentilla 'Etna'

Potentilla 'Etna'

Cinquefoil

A cultivar producing velvety red flowers about two and a half centimetres across on branched stems. The blooms emerge from slowly expanding clumps of silvery-gray, strawberry-like foliage. Unlike some cinquefoils, this selection does not self-seed, making it suitable for more controlled garden settings.

Thrives in sunny positions with freely draining soil. The informal elegance and non-seeding habit make it appropriate for refined borders while maintaining a cottage garden character. Important not to let neighbouring plants overwhelm the clumps. The silvery foliage provides attractive contrast with the deep red flowers.
