Fuchsia 'Hawkshead'
Probably because it is cooler here, this elegant form starts to flower later in gardens than it would closer to mild ocean breezes, or perhaps it should be moved to full sun position. Does not flower as profusely as some hardy fuchsias and has much more open frame along which elegantly long white flowers are produced. A fuchsia with style.
Freezes to ground over winter in colder gardens. RHS Award of Garden Merit and Great Plant Pick. The elegant long white flowers distinguish it from typical pink-red hardy fuchsias. The open frame creates refined appearance. More sun promotes better flowering. Edible fruit follows flowers.
