A compact, evergreen dianthus forming neat cushions of blue-green foliage. In late spring, ‘Grandiflorus’ produces relatively large, fragrant pink flowers held just above the leaves. Best suited to sunny, free-draining sites, it works well at the front of borders or in rock and gravel gardens, where its tidy habit and restrained scale can be appreciated year-round.
