A tall monkshood with strong, upright stems and deep violet-blue hooded flowers carried in late summer to early autumn. Foliage is deeply divided and dark green, forming a substantial clump in moist, fertile soil. Best grown in partial shade or sun where the soil remains cool and evenly moist.
